Cabinet Painting in Oregon City, OR:

Clean Prep, Durable Finish & Happy Homeowners

We completed this cabinet painting project in Oregon City for some truly great customers who wanted to refresh their kitchen without a full remodel. The result was a crisp, durable, and professional finish that gave their space a whole new look.

Cabinet Painting Process: Quality Prep for a Long-Lasting Finish

As with all of our cabinet projects, the key to a flawless result is in the prep:

  • All cabinet doors and drawers were carefully removed and labeled, making sure everything could be reinstalled in its proper place.

  • We set up a dedicated spray booth area with dust control and plastic masking to contain overspray and maintain a clean finish environment.

  • Every cabinet surface was cleaned, sanded, and inspected, ensuring the paint would adhere properly and finish smoothly.

  • We applied two coats of oil-based primer to seal the wood and create a stable base for topcoat.

  • Between coats, each surface was lightly sanded and wiped clean. We fixed imperfections between primer coats

  • Finally, we applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Hybrid Enamel Trim Paint using a fine-finish spray application for a factory-smooth appearance that will stand up to daily use.

This system is ideal for kitchen cabinets because it resists moisture, stains, and wear while delivering a clean, satin-like sheen.

A Seamless Experience for the Homeowners

Working with this Oregon City family was a pleasure. We communicated every step of the way to ensure the timeline and design goals were met. The end result was a bright, updated kitchen that feels brand-new—without the need for costly cabinet replacements.
